Highlights of the 2011 season were over 100 visitors

to our June Southfield Garden Walk, and over 2100 pounds

of fresh, naturally grown produce given to the hungry.

We need new Garden Club members to keep our projects

going -- take a look through the website, or give us a call

if you are interested in joining.

I was reminded by a visitor

to this site that the Club is, after all, made up of

good, giving people.  We have about 24 members, with all

levels of involvement, and have had the good fortune to have

had over 400 non-member volunteer hours in 2010.

The Southfield Parks and Garden Club, Inc. is a charitable public service organization helping cities, schools, and disadvantaged people in

Southfield and surrounding communities.

The Club (SP&GC) has programs to help elderly and/or disabled low income
homeowners fix up their front yards (CHORE).  We also have an organic Farm
to feed the hungry (EMMANUEL COMMUNITY FARM and the
new "Garden at St. David's" and "The Mayor's Garden").  Other projects
include litter pickups (LITTER), and city park trail clearance and
mapping (TRAILS).  Find out about about these and
other projects by clicking appropriate buttons above.
